To make things more comfortable, certain applications are sent to the system tray when you minimize them. However, you can't do this with all programs, unless you get a specialized piece of software. With Minimize to Tray Tool, any application on your computer can be minimized to the system tray, regardless if it comes with such options or not. If you launch something just to keep it running in the background, you will be able to send it to the corner of the screen, thanks to this lightweight utility.

The application is absolutely free and you can use it on any popular Windows system. It comes in a small package and it takes only a few seconds to install it on your computer. There is no need to install any additional tools besides this application and you don't have to sacrifice too many resources to run it.

The best part about Minimize to Tray Tool is that you don't have to tell it to send a specific application to the system tray each time you want to do this. The software comes with a clean and simple user interface, where you can add one or more applications to a list. All you have to do is target their executables, through a standard browsing option, and resume your normal routine.

With their executables added to the aforementioned list, whenever you click the minimize button, on an application's window, it will be minimized to the system tray, regardless if it has any system tray-related options or not. Obviously, restoring the application doesn't involve anything more than simply clicking its system tray icon.

The application has a few useful options, which you can find when right clicking its system tray icon. These options allow you to minimize specific applications to the system tray right away, even if their executables are not on the list. Additionally, you can minimize or restore all running applications at a moment's notice.

With Minimize to Tray Tool, you can get rid of the clutter on your task bar and make your work environment more comfortable.

Pros

You can minimize any application to the system tray. There is no need to go through any special options each time you want to minimize something to the system tray. Additionally, you can minimize and restore everything at a moment's notice.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to mention.
